Updating to plesk 9

If you use Plesk 10.4.4 and later, you can start an upgrade directly from Plesk.
Users of earlier Plesk versions should download and use the Plesk Installer utility.
The table below shows the possible ways of upgrading a particular Plesk version to the latest one.

Important: If you upgrade from earlier Plesk versions (7.x, 8.x, or 9.x), you should perform additional Plesk configuration steps once data transfer is finished.
However sometimes the interface times out, or browsers get confused – therefore it’s good to know that you can apply updates via the command line interface as well.

If you maintain a large number of Plesk installations, we recommend that you use the Plesk Installer utility ran in an unattended manner.
